10 Comic Book Movie Performances So Boring It Actually Hurt

5. Storm - Halle Berry - X-Men

There seems to be a misconception of sorts regarding Halle Berry's talents as an actress: although she bagged an Oscar for her wonderful performance in Monster's Ball, she's literally done nothing since to convince us that she was worthy of the accolade. Before there was Monster's Ball, though, there was X-Men, a movie which pretty much set the standard for each and every one of the comic book movies we see today - even before the likes of Spider-Man. Berry has played Storm four times, and yet her performances seem to grow more and more tiresome. So whereas the original X-Men gifted us with Ian McKellen's unforgettable turn as Magneto and Patrick Stewart's phenomenal performance as Professor Charles Xavier (not to mention Hugh Jackman as Wolverine - woah!), it also offered us Halle Berry as Storm. Although this should have been great, there's actually nothing memorable or particularly notable about the way in which Berry messes up - and then drops - her accent - her preference for acting as this character seems to be "speak very, very seriously. She also lacks Storm's inherent, raw strength.
