4. Loki's Relationship With Thanos (The Avengers)

All the way through the Avengers movie, it was hinted at about a big bad manipulating and overseeing the events involving Loki and the Chitauri's invasion of the Earth. The Other, who served as an intermediary between Loki and this big bad, intimated that, should Loki fail, the being in question would make Loki wish for a feeling as sweet as pain, such is his power and ruthlessness. It would, of course, be revealed in the movie's mid-credits scene that the being in question was the Mad Titan Thanos. We still don't know how Loki met Thanos, which would be cool to find out but, most importantly, the fact that Loki ultimately failed with his invasion should mean that Thanos is gunning for him. The Other promised that Thanos would catch up with him if he failed him - and we'd really like to see that confrontation.
