10 Crazy X-Men Ideas Fox Had Before Marvel Got The Rights Back

6. Kitty Pryde

X-Men Fantastic Four
Marvel Comics

Dubbed "Movie 143" when it was first announced, it was soon revealed that this feature was going to revolve around Kitty Pryde (played by Ellen Page in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past). It was widely assumed, but never confirmed, that a new actress was going to be cast in the role.

Deadpool director Tim Miller was attached to direct, while X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Superman writer Brian Michael Bendis was going to pen the screenplay. Plot details have never been revealed, but the creative time was a definite bonus for fans, even if they couldn't really figure out why this character was getting her own solo adventure in Fox's X-Men Universe.

Unfortunately, Miller committing to Terminator: Dark Fate postponed the start of production, and by the time he was ready to begin, the Disney/Fox merger had happened. That killed this project, and it's a shame non-disclosure agreements mean Kitty Pryde's first movie is likely to remain a mystery.
