10 Directors Who Suffered The Most In 2015

1. Josh Trank (Fantastic Four)

As if there could be anyone else at number one. Trank might have had the worst year of anyone in Hollywood and it€™s probably not even close. Where to even begin? After a strong debut with Chronicle, Trank was brought on for a new take on Fantastic Four. He cited David Cronenberg as an influence on the film and things initially looked promising. Then the reports started coming out of the troubled production. He allegedly wouldn€™t talk to the studio, tried to micromanage the actors, and even trashed the house he was staying in. They were so unhappy that they underwent significant re-shoots without him present, and the results were unsurprisingly terrible. The film was critically maligned and was one of the biggest bombs of the year, purportedly costing the studio nearly $100 million. To make matters worse, the day before the film released, Trank released a tweet that was quickly deleted, stating €œA year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would've received great reviews. You'll probably never see it. That's reality though.€ To rub salt in his wounds, amidst this controversy, he was removed from the Star Wars spinoff he was working on, allegedly because of his erratic behaviour. Trank certainly has talent, but after this disaster of a year, it may be a while before we hear from him again. Which directors do you think had the worst 2015? Let us know in the comments.
