10 Dumb Decisions In The MCU We Can't Forgive

9. Pretending The Incredible Hulk Doesn't Exist

The Incredible Hulk was far from a critical darling, and problems behind the scenes (mainly between Marvel and star Ed Norton) led to everyone involved having a bad taste in their mouths. Throw in some distribution issues with Universal Pictures, and the fact we've never had a sequel honestly isn't all that surprising.

What is a shocker, however, is the decision to essentially pretend The Incredible Hulk never existed. The return of General "Thunderbolt" Ross and Bruce Banner mentioning that he contemplated suicide in Avengers: Endgame acknowledged it to some extent, but what about The Abomination, Betty Ross, and The Leader? They've all been forgotten.

The ending - which teased Banner having more control over The Hulk than anyone realised - was also overlooked, especially after Joss Whedon decided he should no longer be the lead villain in The Avengers. With any luck, She-Hulk could touch on some of this, but a lot of dangling threads were left by pretending this movie never happened.
