4. Writing Down A List Of The DA Members And Leaving It Lying Around - The Order Of The Phoenix
During the formation of Dumbledore’s Army, Hermione decided to write down a list of all the members of this rebellious group. Her reason for doing this was so she could jinx said list, which meant that if anyone ever sold the others out, they would receive a face full of pimples.
Though the jinx was most effective, Hermione was more than a little foolhardy to then leave the list in the Room of Requirement. The consequences of this decision were that Umbridge and the Inquisitorial Squad knew instantly who all the members of Dumbledore’s Army were. If Hermione had only left the list in her dormitory then this would have been easily avoided.
Luckily for her, Dumbledore managed to save their necks by falsely claiming that he was behind it all. Had this not been the case, however, Hermione and her fellow students may have been in some serious trouble.
