1999 was the year of Sisqo. For those of us who grew up with "The Thong Song" playing ad nausea in our heads and going to theatres to see Get Over It, the 14-year-olds inside of us still get butterflies in our stomach when they pop up on the radio or TV. But it seems they rarely do these days. There's a reason for that.

After failing to retain popularity beyond his first album, Get Over It and his appearance in Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, he attempted to remake "The Thong Song" in 2017. Not remix or alter it for a new generation of fans (Sisqueaks, one might call them), he just did the same damn song. It makes sense for a teenager or early 20-year-old to rap about the many benefits of thong underwear. When a 40-year-old man does it, you put out an Amber Alert.

Two years ago, he finally acted his age and released a holiday book for kids entitled "Sisqo's Perfect Christmas". But do you really want your child to know what his perfect Christmas involves? Because it's a safe bet it still involves thongs.
