8. Captain America Fights Batroc (Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier)
Marvel StudiosThe recent Captain America sequel features some stunning set pieces, which makes this little hand-to-hand duel that much more memorable. Aside from the brilliant fight choreography, the scene also sees Cap discard his shield and defeat Batroc with just his skills in combat (and those handy super serum enhancements, of course). The Marvel Cinematic Universe has repeatedly emphasised that the Captains powers dont really lie in the shield, but in his courage and leadership ability, but he does tend to seem outclassed next to the heavy hitters on the Avengers. Its surprisingly gratifying to see him just systematically take down an opponent, and it doesnt hurt that he nobly accepts the challenge in French, too. French can only improve a fight scene, after all.
