Almost every actual sex scene - and there are quite a few of them in the film - quickly degrades to sheer terror, in classic David Lynch style. However, there is one scene that stands out in the film that is simply dripping with pure, unadulterated eroticism, without any stabs of horror of weirdness. That scene is Betty's (Naomi Watts) audition. It doesn't take too long for us, the audience, to realize that Betty is absolutely nailing the audition. What is so remarkable about the scene is how ridiculous the actual dialogue is. And yet, Naomi Watts is so skilled an actress that she is able to make Betty give the words actual gravity. Her commitment to the scene is pretty incredible, and almost uncomfortably erotic and intimate at times - the kissing, the heavy breathing. It's all there. She absolutely controls the room, and everyone immediately falls in love with her. Sexiest Moment: When Watts gives her scene partner a little peck on the lip as she says "You were his best... friend." It's all downhill from there.
