6. Shaun The Sheep Movie
Shaun The Sheep is an altogether more vibrant and entertaining movie, which shares nothing further than the name of an animal in its title with A Pigeon Sat On A Branch Reflecting On Existence. A welcome return to the big screen for Aardman Animations, it's perhaps their most streamlined and effective film to date. With Pixar leading the way when it comes to computer animation, Aardman continue to excel in the more traditional format of stop motion. When a farmer is accidentally shuttled off to the big city and suffers from amnesia after a blow to the head, Shaun and his fellow sheep set out to bring him home. Almost entirely devoid of dialogue, Shaun's first movie outing sits firmly in the tradition of Chaplin, Keaton and Jacques Tati. It's a shame that it didn't do much better at the box office - it's certainly a cut above much bigger budget animated movies such as Home.
