10 Game Of Thrones Actors Who Could Star In The MCU (And Who They’d Play)
2. Sue Storm - Emilia Clarke
Along with Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke has had one of the best breakouts from Game Of Thrones. Where Williams scored Doctor Who and Turner stars in X-Men as Jean Grey, Clarke has had major roles in Star Wars and Terminator, with her ascent to the top of the industry showing no signs of slowing anytime soon.
She’d be perfect for any number of MCU roles, but having her as Sue Storm seems absolutely spot on.
Though introducing the X-Men comes with the difficulty of retcons or recasts which may confuse casual audiences, Fantastic Four comes with no such weight.
Neither Jessica Alba nor Kate Mara were particularly memorable in the role; the best performer in each movie were Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan as Human Torches, and they’ve both been recycled into brilliant MCU characters.
Though Daenerys’ descent into madness and villainy in Season 8 drew criticism for being rushed, Clarke’s acting was superb throughout. As Daenerys, she shone in early series when she was essentially a solo character, and was just as proficient as part of the ensemble later on. This is exactly the type of range she’d need to succeed as Sue Storm.
