4. Mister Miracle: The Complete Series
Another series yet to be actually released in graphic novel form (again until November), Mister Miracle is currently one of DC's best series and would be a great read prior to Ava DuVernay's New Gods film, in which Jack Kirby's characters will undoubtedly appear.
Tom King has really had a great run at DC so far, with series such as Grayson, Batman, Mister Miracle and the upcoming Heroes in Crisis, the former C.I.A operative has managed to please fans the world over with his creative storytelling. But, going back to the hero in question, Mister Miracle's series has been a wonderfully emotional romp, taking us from the murky waters of mental health to the battlefields of Apokolips, and pretty much everywhere in-between.
Mister Miracle isn't just worth reading for DCEU fans, but for fans of the superhero genre in general too.
