5. Ray Stevenson as The Punisher, Punisher: War Zone (2008)
This one's a little unfair. I'm pretty convinced that Ray Stevenson is the Denzel Washington of mid-tier action movies - incapable of giving a bad performance. This turn is no different - he's the Frank Castle we need in a movie the character didn't deserve. Stoic, brutal and a complete physical match for the role (sorry, Thomas Jane - you're just not The Punisher), I'd like to see him face off against some of the more clean-cut heroes of the MCU. Civil War, anyone?
