What Actually Happens

Like most animated family films about our canine companions, Don Bluth's All Dogs Go To Heaven sees the protagonist pooch Charlie become embroiled with the mob, murdered, and sent to the Pearly Gates and back.

After taking his last bow-wow, Charlie's ghost says goodbye to his human pal Anne-Marie, before regaining his place in the great kennel in the sky. You can't keep a good dog down.

What Should Happen

Rather than finding himself digging up bones and having to forego a place in puppy paradise for a second chance, Charlie irons out his problems with his old business partner, and they resolve to clean up the operation. No dogs are harmed in the making of the movie - though it is a lot more boring.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
