10 Harsh Truths We Don't Want To Admit About Awesome Movies

5. The Villain's Plan In Batman Begins Can Be Debunked By A 10-Year Old

Batman Begins Batman Begins is, on the whole, an excellent film and a daring reinvention of the Caped Crusader, but it's also got one of the dumbest villain plans in recent blockbuster history, all the more surprising given how strong the film is in all other aspects. Ra's al Ghul dumps the Scarecrow's nerve toxin in Gotham City's water supply, so that he can them use a microwave emitter to disperse it throughout the city, infecting everyone at once and causing anarchy in Gotham. The problem is that even a child in remedial science class has a fair chance of remembering that the human body is largely comprised of water, and as such, setting off the emitter would kill just about everyone in Gotham, regardless of whether they're wearing one of those face masks that Ra's loves so much. All Ra's would be doing is giving himself and everyone else a strange, probably very painful death.
