A fun fact about this one is that it was actually the first Norwegian Netflix Original feature film to make it onto the site, and it certainly made an entrance.

Set in a dystopian future where the world is subdued by a nuclear winter, one family is invited for a night of theatre and food at a nearby manor house. With the misery and hunger they’re used to enduring, this seems almost too good to be true! Spoiler alert, it is.

The thing about the deal here is that those who enter the manor don’t even know what’s at stake; they’re completely unaware that even setting foot on the premises means they are meant to never leave.

It’s a bit like a game where the rules are entirely unspoken: in order to survive the situation, they have to figure out what is going on to outsmart the powers that be - and the reward you get for doing this is your survival on the condition of playing along.

As attendees follow what they believe is a live, interactive theatre experience, they begin disappearing one by one. When our protagonists’ daughter is snatched right in front of their eyes, they have to work fast to crack the mystery in order to save themselves and her.

Who would’ve thought that escaping a murderous manor house would become your biggest problem in a nuclear apocalypse?
