10. Titanic (1997)

Box Office Gross: 946 million yuan It might be the second-highest grossing movie of all-time worldwide, but in China James Cameron's tragic love story set on the infamous doomed ship of the title sails in at a mere 10th place. But don't let its position at the end of this list downplay Titanic's status in China; whilst in Western countries audiences have since turned against Cameron's film in their masses, writing it off as a notable cheesy and schmaltzy affair, in China they absolutely freakin' love it. Seriously: Titanic has a huge cultural following in China, and is reportedly the favourite movie of, like, every female currently in their mid-to-late 20s. Even the men love it, though. When the movie was re-released in 3D back in 2012, Chinese audiences lapped it up all over again in their millions; a third of the picture's entire re-release gross came straight from China. Not at all surprisingly, the Chinese also love to sing "My Heart Will Go On" at karaoke. Um...
