10 Horror Final Girls Who Didn't Survive Their Movie

Found footage movies do away with the legacy of their Final Girls for the most part, bound by their subgenre code to have everyone die by the close of the film to make the footage truly found, but that doesn't mean there aren't exceptions to the rule. There are the rare few that do make it out, allowed to disappear into the night and distribute their recordings for cinematic releases, as anyone going through a horrific, traumatising event that's all captured on film would, naturally.

Which is why it's almost plausible that The Pyramid's Nora could have made it out alive with no strings attached. The last person to survive an archeological expedition beneath the earth into a three-sided pyramid, she is hunted by Egyptian god Anubis, who's been trapped there for being a very bad dog. Nora eventually makes it out of an air shaft and to supposed freedom, collapsing - only to wake up and get a whole face of Anubis killing a kid that has wondered over to her location.

Weak, alone, and facing up against a supernatural, death-obsessed, and now freed god, I think it's fair to say our Nora hasn't made it out of this one.
