Poor, sweet vegetarian Christine couldn’t have possibly deserved her fate in Drag Me To Hell could she? Well, yes actually. She may have started out a relatively nice and normal person but it seems being cursed to spend an eternity in hell while having your soul feasted upon by demons can really change a person.

Her refusal to extend hex-throwing gypsy Mrs Ganush’s mortgage payment was kind of understandable considering the pressure she was under to impress her boss but Christine definitely devolves into a pretty shady character once she realises the extent of the curse she’s under. Like sacrificing her completely innocent and unbearably cute kitten to appease the demon? That’s totally unforgivable.

Although in her defence, Christine does have a moment of self-reflection by the film’s finale and admits she may have been wrong not to help Mrs Ganush. Not that it ended up helping her of course.
