10 Horror Movies About To Become TV Shows
6. Halloween
The latest movie in this classic horror franchise may be known as Halloween Ends, but this legendary series is far from done, people.
Miramax ultimately landed the TV rights to the Michael Myers-starring franchise last year, with this new show potentially being used as a way of kicking off a whole new cinematic universe for the slasher IP - one that could boast both TV and movie projects.
And while again it isn't completely clear what this new show will consist of in terms of its actual story (as of writing), Miramax's Head of Worldwide Television Marc Helwig did at least state to Deadline that the series would see "a creative reset completely" and also go back to the original John Carpenter film rather than spinning off from the more recent trilogy.
In other words, buckle up, folks, because it looks like yet another new timeline is about to be added to the pre-existing five. The more things change and all that.
Unlike a few of the other entries on this list, though, at least it doesn't look like fans of the franchise will have to wait too long to see what Miramax have in mind for their take on the murderous series. Helwig noted in March, “We’re on a fast track, it’s a big priority for us," before also saying, “We’re hoping to lock down the creative team very soon.”
