10 Horror Movies That Go Totally Insane At The End
3. Baskin (2015)
In deliriously gory Turkish horror Baskin, young police officer Arda (Görkem Kasal) and his squad mates are called as backup to a rural village which is said to have a sinister past.
When they eventually arrive at the abandoned police station where the distress call came from, they find themselves facing against a satanic cult. It's at this point where all-out madness unleashes, with sickening depictions of violence looming around every corner.
The most excessive part of this flick comes at the end, when Arda and his surviving friends are captured by the cult and confronted by their menacing leader. While this film's gratuitous violence was already a lot to bare, eye-gouging, torture, and nightmarish imagery turn up the depravity to an even more extreme level for the climax.
The insanity only intensifies during a cryptic dream sequence that sees Arda's deceased father figure hand him a key from his freshly infected neck wound, which Arda promptly uses to kill the cult's leader by jamming it into their head.
Concluding on an ambiguous finale suggesting that Arda's stuck in a hellish limbo, describing Baskin as "insane" doesn't come close to articulating the lunacy on display in this twisted horror.
