10 Horror Movies That Scrapped INSANE Kills

5. Death By Piranha - Cannibal Holocaust

If you thought Terrifier 2 was bad, it's got nothing on Cannibal Holocaust.

Considering that Ruggero Deodato's groundbreaking found footage horror film was deemed realistically gory enough that Deodato had to prove to an Italian court the actors involved weren't really dead, the cut material sure must be something, right?

Well, perhaps the most infamous scrapped scene from Cannibal Holocaust involves members of one cannibal tribe, the Ya̧nomamö, capturing a warrior from an opposing tribe, the Shamatari, and feeding him to a fleet of piranha.

As scripted, the scene would've seen the Ya̧nomamö lower the Shamatari warrior into the river, and when he emerged, one of his legs would be eaten away.

Though Deodato did try to shoot the scene, using a one-legged actor with real piranha attached to his prosthetic leg, it was beset by issues - namely a malfunctioning camera and ill-behaved piranha - causing him to ultimately abandon it entirely.

And so, all that remains today are a few scattered images taken during the shoot.
