10 Horror Movies That Will Put You Off Travelling After Watching

5. Race With The Devil

Nothing quite puts the kibosh on holiday plans like running afoul of a Satanic cult.

In Jack Starrett's 1975 Race with the Devil, two holidaying couples find their plans abruptly halted after witnessing a Satanic sacrifice during a stop-off on their way to the snowy hills of Aspen. Spotted by the devil-worshipping locals, Roger and Kelly Marsh and Frank and Alice Stewart become embroiled in a battle to stay alive.

That battle sees these four chased across country by a ferocious gang of locals, and the bleak ending of Race with the Devil sees all hope lost after victory turns into defeat; our protagonists circled in on by these Satanists, seconds after it looks like they've managed to escape.

The moral of the story here, of course, is that you really, really can do without stopping for that extra loo break if you find yourself driving cross-country for a weekend getaway. Sure, you can make that extra stop, but you may find yourself accidentally stumbling across something that could well and truly ruin your weekend.
