10 Horror Movies With Terrifying Surprises
5. A Dangerous Alliance - Urban Legends: Final Cut
For the wrestling fans amongst you, any chance to throw out the Dangerous Alliance name is one that should forever be taken. For those of you without a penchant for the grappling game, you absolutely need more 1992 WCW in your life.
Where Urban Legends: Final Cut is concerned, the fun surprise waiting at the final moments of this picture is a potential working relationship between the killer of this follow-up offering and the killer of the original Urban Legend film.
In this 2000 sequel, the major reveal is that Hart Bochner's Professor Solomon is behind the fencing mask get-up of the movie's 'big bad'; it lazily explained how the mad professor wanted credit for a much-hyped student film.
As is often the case, Solomon is eventually taken down, being shot in the gut and left wheelchair-bound in a mental institution. It's here, though, that Final Cut serves up a fan-pleasing surprise, with it revealed how the nurse looking after Solomon is Brenda Bates (Rebecca Gayheart) - the killer of the first film - who excitedly proclaims how they've got a lot in common.
While a terrifying unholy alliance between these two seemed on the table, sadly Urban Legends: Bloody Mary decided to leave these two behind and instead take a supernatural path when it was released in 2005.
