3. How Some Asgardians Escaped Thanos' Attack
Stepping back into Asgardian territory for this next entry and to the previously noted sacking of the vessel that housed the last remnants of the godly race in Infinity War.
Acting as a highly effective gut punch from the get-go, the sight of a whole host of Asgardian folk lying dead on the floor of a warship was enough to leave many wondering if there was even anything left of the once proud people of Asgard on the back of The Black Order's ambush.
Obviously, Endgame would go on to highlight how a decent number of Asgard natives were able to flee the attack and set up a new home in Tønsberg. But the films themselves didn't spend any real time explaining how this actually came to pass.
According to one half of the Infinity War/Endgame director duo Joe Russo, Valkyrie and the other surviving Asgardians managed to slip away from Thanos' wrath via escape pods in the thick of the chaos. Yet, next to no mention of this daring escape is ever made on-screen and likely won't be as Thor's tale looks set to leave Earth and New Asgard in the rear-view mirror during the upcoming Love and Thunder.
