10 Insane Movie Sequels That We Really Wish Had Happened
3. Triplets
It's A Sequel To: Twins (1988)
Triplets is a movie that needs to happen on account of the fact that it would result in Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy all appearing in the same movie - as brothers.
Yes, as a belated sequel to the hit '80s film Twins, which starred Schwarzenegger and DeVito as two long lost brothers who are reunited to comical effect, Triplets would have introduced them to their third, unexpectedly African-American brother, played by Eddie Murphy.
Would it have been good? Probably not, but is that really a reason to wish that such a crazy film never got made? What a curio it would've been! And it's not like Twins has a a particularly sacred or untouchable legacy - it's a pretty funny movie, but I wouldn't call it a "classic."
Triplets is still in development at this very moment, apparently, which is something that we've been hearing for years and years to no avail (there was once rumoured to be a version in which Rosanne Barr would've turned up as the twins' sister).
As a result, it seems unlikely that the project will ever go beyond the "wouldn't that be nutty?" stage - especially as time plays havoc on its lead actors' abilities to not be dead.
