Kevin Feige and co. are in the unenviable position of having to figure out how to create a sequel to Black Panther without its late star, Chadwick Boseman.

Cameras have already been rolling for a little while on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, all while Feige and the movie's cast remain tight-lipped on exactly how the film will pick up T'Challa's mantle.

But since Boseman's untimely passing, rumours have been circulating of the possibility that Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) will somehow be brought back to life.

The most obvious solution would be to introduce a Killmonger/N'Jadaka from an alternate universe who perhaps hasn't suffered the same hardships in life, and is a truly worthy successor to his cousin's throne.

How Likely Is It?: Michael B. Jordan himself has more-or-less denied he will be appearing in the movie, though that means virtually nothing where secretive blockbuster projects are concerned.

Then again, it feels more likely that the MCU would pass the torch over to a character in the existing continuity like Shuri (Letitia Wright), Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), or M'Baku (Winston Duke) than draft in Killmonger from another timeline.

Obviously the MCU does have existing precedent for the multiverse now, but anything more than a Killmonger cameo seems unlikely.
