10 Legitimate Criticisms Of The Avengers

6. They Do Nothing About The Hulk (Aside From Argue Near Him)

movie-nerd-new-hulk-movie You'd like to think SHIELD do their homework €“ they've looked up each of their potential Avengers in minute detail, to the extent where they could probably make a particularly large paper snake out of Tony's psych profiles alone. As such, you're going to know that Bruce Banner is a man with shockingly violent mood swings. Hell, that's the thing you have to know about him. Everything else falls pretty much by the wayside compared to that. It becomes even more pressing when Loki accidentally lets slip that the Hulk is integral to his plan to bust out of the helicarrier, but it's sidelined in favour of other less immediate life-threatening dangers. Yes, it's a drag that SHIELD were going to make weaponry with the Tesseract, but all this can be debated later when the walking Weapon of Mass Destruction is out of the room. But that's totally not what happens €“ everybody gets distracted by their own squabble, ostracising and infuriating the man who you really don't want to infuriate. It's like arguing about the customer service on the Titanic post-iceberg €“ irrelevant, compared to other catastrophically immediate concerns.
