4. Doesn't Bruce Being In Control Take The Tension Out Of Future Hulk Films?

Maybe I'm just being an arse here, but for me, half the point of the Hulk's movie franchise is that he can't really control when he utterly freaks out. It might just be because they've never managed to get the bird to fly beyond an opening movie, but still. Yet come the Avengers, they let slip that Ruffalo-Hulk is not only sporting a bitching tan, but he's also capable of turning on the rage like a tap, and can even take orders. After this, my only hope is that they start getting really trippy with the franchise and take it into outer space, comic-book style. Frankly, they have to keeping the Hulk on Earth against smashable opponents will contain as much drama as us popping a sheet of bubble-wrap. After all, when your hero can turn into a green rage-monster that can mash Asgardians into pulp, where's the dramatic stakes going to come from? Previous Hulk films have seen him attempt to control the beast inside, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with it at least, I hope it will. As it is, Whedon might've written the franchise into an (admittedly awesome) corner.
