The arrival of the super-powered Android is a pivotal moment in the film, the event which turns the tide of battle in the good guys' favour, and knowing it was going to happen well in advance detracted from it.

The first time most fans got wind of Vision's involvement came at the end of trailer #3, when a brief glimpse of his face flashes across the screen. It was fleeting, but telling enough that anyone versed in their comic lore could identify the character.

With the cat out of the bag, Marvel went on to include Vision in posters and promotional stills, ruining what could have been the movie's big reveal.
