10 Missed Opportunities In Marvel Cinematic Universe

1. Spider-Man - The Avengers

The Amazing Spider-Man The biggest wish for many is that Spider-Man will join The Avengers at some point, given that he has been a frequent member of the team in the comics, and would seemingly slot effortlessly into the movie roster we've seen so far. The primary problem is legal red-tape, with the rights to the character belonging to Sony Pictures at present, and though the Oscorp building very nearly appeared in the New York skyline of The Avengers (it wasn't because of time constraints), it just seems like too much effort to get these two studios seriously talking about the prospect. Would it be a fanboy's dream? Would it be hilarious to see Tony Stark talking down to some punk kid? Absolutely. It would be a verifiable license to print money, but studios being studios, they'll never be able to agree on a bottom line (especially with Marvel being so notoriously greedy with their actors), and it sadly probably won't ever happen. Which opportunities do you feel the MCU has really missed out on to date? Let us know in the comments below.
