10 More Horror Movie Performances That Proved EVERYONE Wrong

6. Paris Hilton - House Of Wax

Paris Hilton is a fascinating individual.

One of the first major reality TV stars, Hilton initially gained global fame through her series The Simple Life (as well as something less family-friendly) and helped establish the 21st-century trend of "being famous for being famous". As the world wondered exactly what it was this heiress actually did, she began entering the world of movies, including 2005's House of Wax.

A loose remake of two previous movies, House of Wax is about a group of teens who become the targets of two sadistic killers who murder their victims with hot wax and then leave their bodies on display.

The film wasn't a knockout by any standards, but one thing that took everyone by surprise was that Hilton wasn't the worst thing about it. She actually held her own pretty well, nothing Oscar-worthy, but she didn't embarrass herself in the way some people expected.

Hilton's performance in House of Wax is a classic case of why you should never judge a book by its cover, and goes to show that reality stars aren't as useless as some people would have you believe.
