1. Guy Woodhouse To Rosemary - Rosemary's Baby

The Oscar-winning psychological drama follows newlyweds, Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse, as they move into a new apartment, hoping to start a family.

Rosemary finds the neighbours aggressively friendly, inserting themselves into her life and shower her with presents, especially after she falls pregnant. When she voices her concerns, Guy brushes her off, insisting she's overreacting.

Upon investigation, Rosemary discovers all the tenants belong to a Satanic coven and their gifts are tools to control her pregnancy. Worse still, Rosemary learns she's carrying Satan's child, who's destined to usher in Armageddon.

Just when it seems like things couldn't get worse, it's revealed Guy orchestrated this entire operation. He encouraged Rosemary to move house, isolated her from her friends, and controlled her behaviour so she could be turned into Satan's unwilling incubator.

Most chilling of all, Guy's motive is depressingly mundane. He joined the coven and let The Devil impregnate his wife under the condition they help his flagging acting career.

Guy's actions are reprehensible on their own, but the pettiness of his ambition makes the betrayal towards his wife (and humanity) more nauseating.
