10 Most Brutal Star Wars Movie Deaths

4. Count Dooku (Revenge Of The Sith)

Cause Of Death: Decapitated

The death of Count Dooku was one of the more unexpected moments the prequels threw our way - for starters, merciless decapitation isn't exactly "the Jedi way", nor is it proper lawful protocol, which surely would have seen the Sith Lord arrested, not slaughtered.

And yet, at the request of an onlooking Emperor Palpatine, Anakin swiftly lops off the old buggers head, using not one, but two pulsating lightsaber blades. This is so harsh that you even feel sorry for Dooku, despite his position on the dark side, as he looks young Vader in the eyes in the same way that The Rock looks at a packet of sweets.

With pure terror.

He certainly knows what's coming; blue and red white-hot pain, from both sides, and a death he won't be able to retcon his way out of (looking at you, Darth Maul). Count Dooku wasn't even a good person, so when the death of a bad guy feels more than a little uncalled for, you know that it's completely barbaric and savage.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
