Taking a break to a distant lakehouse for the weekend, couple Jenny and Steve are after a quiet weekend away together in the romantic English countryside, but a bunch of delinquent youths have another plan in mind. Well, if there's one thing that's going to ruin the mood, it's gotta be children.

These ones are particularly malevolent however, enacting brutal revenge on the couple for confronting them about their distracting activities. Torturing and abusing the couple with psychopathic glee, the pair had no idea what they were letting themselves in for - or how to now escape it.

Eden Lake is particularly effective for its representation of reactive youth culture, bringing back memories of when hoodies and 'chavs' were seen as threats in everyday walks of life.
