10 Most Exciting New Faces Coming To The MCU

Of all the announcements of content which is to appear on the Disney streaming service Disney+, Marvel fans got exceptionally excited about the series following MCU villain-turned-kind-of-okay-guy Loki. Ugly logo typography aside, the prospect of more Tom Hiddleston content can only be a good thing; his portrayal as the God of Mischief has brought some of the most hilarious moments to the franchise.

The “Get Help” stunt of Thor: Ragnorok? Incredible. Not to mention that his dastardly plan to take of Asgard, which he did eventually achieve for a bit between films, appears to have culminated in him funding the Asgardian theatre to put on plays about his own life. That’s really using his royal powers to their fullest extent.

As if this series wasn’t already looking pretty fabulous, it was also confirmed that Owen Wilson would be starring in an undisclosed role. That’s right, the inventor of the Owen Wilson Wow meme is getting introduced into the MCU. Even with very little clue as to who he’ll be appearing as, Owen Wilson is undoubtedly the right choice for any role. Especially considering the hilarity of Loki’s other solo japes, Owen Wilson is exactly the kind of chaotic energy that will play well into this scenario.

It wouldn’t be fair not to at least speculate as to who Wilson will be appearing as, but honestly there’s not much to go on. There’s some whispers of a Quantum Leap style show, with Loki travelling through time using the Tesseract and becoming the Scott Bakula of this situation. This would mean Owen Wilson could be playing the titular character himself for a little while. But even if that isn’t the case, this TV show casting is enough on its own to get me racing to sign up for Disney+.
