9. Master Of None: Season 3
Aziz Ansari's fantastic dramedy series Master of None released its universally-acclaimed second season back in May 2017, after which Ansari declared he wanted to take a long break before getting started on season three.
However, production of a third season was halted indefinitely when sexual misconduct allegations were leveled against him in early 2018.
Ansari then stepped back to work on bettering himself and maintained a relatively low profile in the years following, and though there were faint murmurs last year that season three had quietly begun filming, there wasn't any confirmation on the matter.
But this past month, it was indeed confirmed that a new batch of episodes have been completed and will be released on Netflix on May 23rd. Surprisingly, the season will shift its focus towards Lena Waithe's character Denise, who will star opposite Naomi Ackie.
The season indeed began filming in London in early 2020 but was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before production was able to resume earlier this year.
Season three will consist of just five episodes - compared to the usual ten - all of which have been directed by Ansari and co-written by himself and Waithe.
