10 Most Horrible James Bond Henchman Deaths

6. Emile Locque (For Your Eyes Only, 1981)

Target 007’s allies, and you’re not long for this world. While James Bond doesn’t do a great job of protecting his friends, he’ll always manage to avenge them, at least.

Hitman Emile Locque is easy enough to locate, given Q’s surprisingly accurate etch-a-sketch, and the silent, spectacled assassin seals his fate as soon as he knocks off Bond’s Italian amigo Ferrara.

After leading Bond on a merry chase around and over a clifftop base, Locque finds himself trapped in his car, in the precarious position of dangling dangerously on the edge of oblivion. The only one capable of granting him any kind of mercy is 007, who’s not in a very forgiving mood, needless to say.

Not content with merely letting the car fall, Bond gives the vehicle a good hard kick to speed up its plummet, and Locque’s demise. “He had no head for heights”, Bond growls. Few would in such a situation, to be fair.

This one in particular gets the nod because Sir Roger Moore was notoriously uncomfortable with the cold-blooded brutality of the act. Often an eyebrow-raising joker, Bond was very much an executioner here. And joker, of course.
