2. The Piercing Trailer

Given the releases of things like Annihilation and Suspiria this year, you'd be forgiven for believing that mainstream movies probably couldn't get too much weirder. You'd be very, very wrong, judging by the first red band trailer for Nicholas Pesce's upcoming horror comedy Piercing.

That's horror COMEDY, which is a very important second qualifier to consider when you actually watch the trailer, which seems to promise something sitting between Fifty Shades Of Grey, American Psycho and the more deranged parts of Darren Aronofsky's imagination.

The reviews out of Sundance called it a love letter to giallo cinema, which should get some fans positively moist already, but honestly, the trailer including frotting gimps, squid monsters and murder fetishism is a thing to behold. It's just... deliciously unhinged.
