2. The Alpha Male Darkseeker (I Am Legend)
The zombie/Darkseeker known simply as "The Alpha Male" was the main antagonist of the post-apocalyptic movie I Am Legend, in which an outbreak of a condition known as the Krippin virus - created by genetically altering the Measles virus in an attempt to cure cancer - results in most of Earth's population turning in to primal, aggressive cannibals. Nothing is known about the Alpha Male's life before the outbreak of the Krippin virus, but when the Krippin virus broke out, he was infected and turned into a Darkseeker. He became the dominant, intelligent character in a colony of Darkseekers living in the derelict Manhattan. In 2012, three years after the initial outbreak, the Alpha Male and his colony were living inside a deserted building. When the colony was discovered by Robert Neville, the latter used a snare trap to capture the Alpha Male's mate. The enraged male attempted to rescue her from Neville, but he was kept at bay by the sunlight - which was potentially fatal to the Darkseekers. The Alpha Male would later launch an attack on Neville's house, ultimately resulting in a kamikaze act by Neville which resulted in both of their deaths.
