As cool as it would be to see happen, this is a particularly outlandish rumour due to the fact that it originated on reddit. Still, the person who posted it has shared reliable information in the past, so it is at least worth taking (even if with a pinch of salt). Apparently, a younger version of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross will appear in the flashback sequence mentioned earlier, but William Hurt will also reprise the role in the present. That will come in the form of an after-credits scene when he approaches Hank Pym about becoming involved with the Superhuman Registration Act ahead of Captain America: Civil War. It's been said that Pym is no fan of The Avengers, so his involvement would make sense, especially as his comic book counterpart stood alongside Tony Stark throughout Civil War. Whether or not Scott Lang ends up siding with his mentor remains to be seen.
