10 Most Ridiculous Halloween Horror Movies

8. Stitches

Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Irish Film Board

Stitches is a bit of a hidden gem when it comes to comedy horrors. The killer clown subgenre is dominated by Pennywise and most others fly under the radar, which is a shame because Stitches offers a fresh take on the genre. Come on, the opening scene is a clown sex scene and you're still not sold?

It revolves around the titular clown, who is killed during a birthday party and returns some years later to exact his revenge on the kids who had a hand in his death. The film fully embraces the clown angle, unlike IT, and the kills reflect that. Intestines blown up in to a balloon animal, brains being dissected with an ice cream scoop, it has it all.

Somehow, the film manages to keep these kills from feeling too morbid because the comedy lands and Ross Noble nails the clown aspect of killer clown. If that's still not bizarre sounding enough, the film implies that a clown's soul is linked to its own painted egg and they must be protected at all costs. It's just good, silly Halloween fun.
