10 Most Terrifying Horror Movie Curses

It’s a tale as old as time and a curse that has graced our screens across hundreds of movies and TV shows over the years: the curse of the Werewolf.

Most people would think the ol’ wolfman trend appeared in Medieval times, around the same time we were convinced everything we didn’t understand was magic and if a woman could read then she was a witch. Well it turns out that the dawn of the wolf came a long time before this and we’ve been able to find evidence of it from some 2000 odd years BC.

Now I’m not saying that thousands of years of folklore were all leading up to 2010’s Wolfman, but we’ve got to have a bit of build-up at least!

Amongst all the new-fangled, modern takes on curses and demonic afflictions, the trusty old Werewolf is always there for us. Wolfman delivers on all the classic bits of lore: the silver bullets, the infection by bite and the full moon ravaging. For the sake of appreciating classic horror, if nothing else, this film deserves a nod on this list.
