10 Movie Characters Destined To Be Killed Off

3. Doctor Ian Malcolm - Jurassic World: Dominion

Hear us out on this one, because maybe we’re mad but it feels like a solid guess.

Throughout the Jurassic Park franchise’s decades-long existence, only Jeff Goldblum’s sceptic/ chaos theory advocate Ian Malcolm has provided any connective tissue between the original Jurassic Park films and their belated follow ups, the Jurassic World movies. He’s the only major character to show up in both versions of the franchise, and while he may have only been granted a (bizarrely context-free) cameo in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Goldblum is still the most-seen actor in the series with three films under his belt and he has already been confirmed to appear in 2021’s upcoming conclusion to the franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion.

Combine the actor’s omnipresence throughout the series with the persistent rumours surrounding the actor playing him and it becomes more and more likely that poor Professor Ian is fated to become dinosaur chum by one means or another before the credits roll on this sixth instalment, thus ending both the original and new series and closing a chapter of cinema history with the death of one of its central players.
