10 Movie Sequel Villains Far Scarier Than The Original
3. T-1000 - Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Everyone knows that Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 Terminator is one of the most badass movie characters of all time, and became legendary as he hunted down Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor to prevent her unborn son from leading a revolution against the machines in the future. However, when he turned protector of Sarah and John (Edward Furlong) in the sequel, there was an easy way to outdo him in the villain department.
Since the T-800 was an android, Skynet simply had to send an upgraded version back in time to hunt down John Connor, namely Robert Patrick's T-1000. Like how the T-800 was an improvement on the rubber-skinned T-600 model, the 1000 was better than the 800 in just about every way.
His liquid metal frame not only gave him a shapeshifting ability, meaning that no one could be trusted, it allowed him to shake off almost any damage sustained, so long as it wasn't falling into a pit of molten lava. He was relentless, and impervious to pain and anything the T-800 could throw at him. Arnie was able to stall the other Terminator, and nothing more.
By its very definition, the T-1000 was a more advanced model, and while the T-800 was able to go through humans like a hot knife through butter in the first film, the 1000 went through the previous model in much the same way, essentially throwing him around like a rag doll. There really was no comparison between the two, and that was kind of the whole point.
