10 Movie Sequels We're DYING To See In 2023

3. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
Disney/Marvel Comics

Release Date - May 5th

When James Gunn was fired from Marvel, the future for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 seemed uncertain for years. At a certain point, it looked like this much-hyped threequel would never get made.

But now, we only have to wait a year to see the band back together. Although it'll be great to have Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Zoe Saldana back together again, fans are desperate to see Will Poulter, who'll be portraying the latest member of the team, Adam Warlock. Due to the chameleonic actor's talent, Poulter is sure to leave his stamp on the beloved character, making him just as iconic as Star-Lord or Drax.

Because the plot is under wraps, comic fans have been speculating endlessly on the identity of the main villain. Are the Guardians going to face Galactus? Is the MCU finally going to incorporate Annihilus? The Magus? Mikaboshi? Fred? (Yes, there’s a cosmic villain called Fred.)

It's also worth mentioning GOTG Vol. 3 will be the last time we will see the original team together. Even though Gunn hasn't ruled out the possibility of a fourth entry, any potential sequel will revolve around a different group. If that's the case, there's no question Gunn will do everything in his power to ensure the Guardians go out with a bang.
