10 Movie Sequels We're DYING To See In 2023

4. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
Paramount Pictures

Release Date - July 14th

The 1994 film adaptation, Mission Impossible, was a solid reboot of the classic 1966 series. The second entry was a misstep. The third outing steered the spy saga in the right direction (but not by much)

But from the fourth instalment onward, Tom Cruise's mega-franchise has only gotten better and better. Considering the most recent sequel, Fallout, is regarded as among the best action films in years, it feels impossible for the series to keep topping itself.

Even though Cruise will be 61 by the time Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning is out, the recent trailer has proven the literal running man is still bringing his A-game. With a gargantuan budget of $290 million, we're guaranteed to see mind-blowing stunts and actions sequences that have never been put to film before.

But that's not at all. Dead Reckoning isn't just another sequel. It's the beginning of the end. Because this will be the penultimate entry, don't be surprised to see a couple of mind-blowing twists, and a few beloved characters being killing off. It's hard not to sound like a broken record every time a new Mission Impossible film comes out but it genuinely looks like it's going to trump everything else in the franchise in terms of suspense, action, and awe.
