10 Movies Quentin Tarantino Should Make Instead Of The Hateful Eight

8. Bond 26

Before the James Bond franchise was so brilliantly rebooted as Casino Royale, there was a heavily protracted period in which various scenarios were bandied about, including the prospect of one Tarantino himself writing and directing his own Bond flick, which could have been the most brilliantly bizarre idea ever. Tarantino wanted to direct Royale with Pierce Brosnan in the lead role but set in the 1960s, and when EON Productions said no, Tarantino then tried to obtain the rights himself, but again failed. EON then went ahead with Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig, while Tarantino complained that the studio, who had otherwise deemed Ian Fleming's book to be "unfilmable", owed him at least a thank you for suggesting that they move ahead with the bold enterprise. Due to these sour grapes, it's unlikely it would ever happen, but when Craig probably hangs up the Bond role after Bond 25, it'd be a great in for Tarantino to give us his vision of the character, though Brosnan would surely be too old for the part by that point. And again, EON would never bite.
