10 Movies Ruined By Creepy CGI
8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
The Michael Bay-produced live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie faced intense fan backlash before it was even released, due to the bizarre decision to give the titular foursome needlessly humanoid facial features.
In particular, the Turtles were all given distinctively human lips and noses, and so when Michelangelo removes his face mask at one point in the movie, he looks a lot more like a person than a turtle.
Though an enterprising fan Photoshopped their own fix to the design, Paramount sadly didn't pull a Sonic and go back to revise the Turtles' look.
The queasiness was even worse in the final film, as Michelangelo makes several leering passes at April O'Neil (Megan Fox) throughout.
The movie as a whole wasn't terrible, but it was tough not to fixate on the unappealing ugliness of the digital characters for the entire runtime.
