Every new entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a huge event, and it stands to reason that absence has only made the heart grow fonder in regards to the world's biggest franchise.

Having been shifted to November, the sixteen-month wait between Spider-Man: Far From Home and Black Widow is the longest gap between new MCU movies in a decade, and fans will be dying to see how the studio start laying the foundations for the rest of Phase Four and beyond.

It goes without saying that Marvel Studios' unprecedented track record of success is set to continue, and the only real question is just how high Black Widow can go. Just two of their last eleven superhero blockbusters have earned less than $850m at the box office, and as the final chance to say goodbye to Natasha Romanoff the fans will no doubt turn up in force.
